Blowing a Gale T-Shirt
An 1832 wind face blows a gale across the hills, above the order every crew knows. Navy and signal red on white.
From the log: Battening down meant nailing wooden battens over the canvas on the hatches, so a sea breaking over the deck could not get below.
- Comfort Colors 1717 heavyweight tee: 100% cotton, garment-dyed for a soft, broken-in feel
- Relaxed unisex fit; see the size guide
- Front print, 10.7 x 10.5 in
- Printed from the 1800s to today: the wind face, blowing through the clouds, is cut No. 304 in the Baltimore Type Foundry’s specimen book of 1832. The storm warning on the shirt borrows its number.
