Go with the current. Benjamin Franklin and Timothy Folger’s 1768 chart of the Gulf Stream, under bold cream lettering. The old paper, its folds and every engraved line come through in the print. Cream and brass on true navy.

From the log: In 1768 the mail packets from Falmouth were taking a fortnight longer to reach New York than merchant ships took from London to Rhode Island. Franklin, a deputy postmaster for the colonies, asked his cousin Timothy Folger, a Nantucket captain, why. The Rhode Island captains knew the Gulf Stream and kept out of it; the packets sailed against it. Folger drew the current on a chart, Franklin had it printed, and the packet captains ignored it.
