On a warship, powder monkeys were the boys who ran gunpowder from the magazine up to the guns. Ours is an actual monkey from the 1832 Baltimore book, and he has earned his drink. Cream and brass on blue spruce.
From the log: In battle the magazine stayed shut to all but the gunner, so the powder came up one charge at a time, carried at a run by the youngest hands aboard.

Size & fit
Printed on the Comfort Colors 1717, a heavyweight 100% cotton tee dyed after it’s sewn. The fit is relaxed and slightly boxy. Like a closer fit? Take one size down.
Sizes S to XL are $34. Bigger sizes take more shirt: 2XL is $36, 3XL is $38 and 4XL is $40.
Printing & shipping
Printed from the 1800s to today. Ships with tracking within 2 to 5 business days; US delivery takes 3 to 4 business days after that. Shipping is a flat $4.95 per order, however many shirts you buy.
For now we ship to addresses in the United States only.
Returns
If your shirt arrives damaged or misprinted, or it isn’t what you ordered, email us within 30 days with your order number and a photo and we’ll put it right at no cost. We can’t take returns for size or a change of mind.
Care
Wash inside out in cold water, and hang to dry or tumble dry on low. Don’t iron over the print.
