For whoever keeps the galley fire lit. A crossed ladle and spoon over the cook’s pot, all from the primer pages of 1832. Cream and brass on true navy.

From the log: The ladle served both rooms of the ship. Before powder came in cartridges, gun crews loaded it into the barrel with a long-handled ladle. The cook’s is the one you want to see coming.
